This is the new portrait of aleXsandro Palombo, the artist who gave Marge Simpson a haircut in front of the Iranian consulate, which appeared in Piazza San Babila, in the heart of Milan. It’s called ‘Love Yourself’ and serves to celebrate a woman’s strength and courage and to demystify mastectomy scars. Those signals that remind us that in 2013 she underwent the removal of her breasts (then also ovaries and fallopian tubes) to lower her risk of cancer, after discovering the BRCA mutation.
