Just like women, men have breast tissue that can develop cancer. Most breast cancer in men is ductal carcinoma, which means the cancer cells began growing in the (milk) ducts of the breast, but can also begin in the glands (lobular cancer), even though these breast parts are not functional in men.

Breast cancer is most often found in women, but men can get breast cancer too.

Breast cancer in men, a lump in the breast – this is usually hard, painless and does not move around within the breast. The nipple turning inwards. Fluid oozing from the nipple (nipple discharge), which may be streaked with blood. A sore or rash around the nipple that does not go away.
